Two ways in
Same marketplace. Two capital paths. Neither is an offer to sell securities. Numbers are illustrative — the $1,500/month car figure is a fully-placed investor-side model, not the owner headline shown on the marketing site and not a guarantee.
Scroll — the compliance stack comes apart. Scroll back — it locks in.
One national launch.
Every piece licensed.
Nationwide P2P under one brokerage model. Nothing goes live in a state until its own counsel packet clears.
Institutional
A nationwide launch, built on licensed rails
Nationwide P2P under the PVSP brokerage model. Policy programs, surplus-lines, city packets, Stripe Connect, and a jurisdiction table — not a rewrite per state. This is big capital, licensed partners, and a compliance book.
Surplus-lines / MGA partner
A licensed partner binds each trip (Lula, Tint, or ABI). GigRentals is never the named insured.
California PVSP counsel
Ins. Code § 11580.24, hold-harmless, and the live contracts. LEGAL_COUNSEL_REVIEWED stays false until they sign off.
CDI + city licenses
Department of Insurance placement and a business license in each city we operate. Not a TNC permit.
Policy program at scale
Per-trip limits $45k / $90k / $15k, optional collision, claims API — not a HyreCar master book.
Stripe Connect + KYC
Host payouts and driver deposits live at Stripe. The desk never holds a wallet.
Institutional capital
Fleet float, inspection ops, and multi-state packets. This tab is the take-the-country path.
Multi-state jurisdiction table
TX, NY, FL, WA, IL exist in code with live money off. Each state is a counsel packet, not a rewrite.
Compliance & discovery
CPRA, 1099-K/NEC, FCRA/MVR, timestamped possession. Subpoenas export from Stripe, Postgres, GitHub — not from Admin → Payouts.
What “scale” actually buys
- Per-trip binders in the driver’s name — claims skip our balance sheet.
- Owners operating as small rental companies; we are the storefront and broker.
- Multi-city ops: inspect, tracker, eight-angle photos, minute-stamped possession.
- Live money only after counsel, MGA, and GO_LIVE. Demo runs today with none of that.
Ship
Point this at a live domain
No env vars required for a phone walkthrough. Full notes: /docs/deploy. How the company and servers work: /docs/company.
- 1
Push this repo to GitHub (`main`).
- 2
Import the repo in Vercel. Framework: Next.js. Skip environment variables for a phone test.
- 3
Open the `*.vercel.app` URL on your phone. Demo logins: owner@ / driver@ / admin@gigrentals.com plus any 8+ character password.
- 4
Vercel → Settings → Domains → add yourdomain.com and www. Copy the A and CNAME values it prints.
- 5
Namecheap → Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS. Remove parking/redirect records. Paste Vercel’s A (@) and CNAME (www).
- 6
Wait until Vercel says Valid and the certificate is Issued. HTTPS is automatic.
- 7
Later: set NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL. Still leave GO_LIVE unset until counsel.
GigRentals materials are product templates for an application process. They are not legal, tax, or insurance advice. A California attorney and a licensed broker must review any live program. Quotes are estimates. Applications are not offers. Inspection, underwriting, match, and countersignature are required before any vehicle changes hands.
